I think it's more the wheel style/design and not the size that makes them look bad or good to people. Well unless you go with 40" or something crazy so it looks like a buckboard or something.

Some of the wheels out there are just uck no matter what size they are.

I actually don't think the red gal looks too bad with those wheels. The wheels i like the least are the ones with the least amount of substance to them. Toothpick spoke types etc.
