I know for sure that the mounts were still in the exact same place all the way up to 2002. The current Panther platform has been used since 1979 and it was based on the 65-78 full-size platform. I've put Monroe Max-Air #MA700 on a 67 Galaxie, 77 Grand Marquis, and 1991 Lincoln. The Sens-a-Tracs aren't bad either if you don't want adjustable. Basically anything listed from 1965-2002 will physically bolt up.
