Hey Gary,
Thanks for the kind words.

I even saw Lorrie and Ms. Pi in a couple of the deck pics
They both get to live near the Paver Garden. Now that I'm working on getting Lorrie back up and running, I sit on her step facing the PG, and that's where I do most of what I'm doing with her. Nice environment. Lots of lizards, frogs, and birds amidst and amongst the plants. The shade from the Weeping Willow Tree and the West side of the house is cool till about 12:30 p.m., but then the air get just too hot and humid to be outdoors.

I might have a carburetor manual for Lorrie's carb. I will go through my stuff when I get home and let you know.
GREAT!!! I picked up the rebuild kit this morning. Cutest little bunch of gaskets, and such that you EVER did see.

This is a Carburetor rebuild shop manual not a little thing you get with the kit. This is a 'tell all' about your carb. I picked up a LOT of carb build books yesterday from a lady who's hubby used to rebuild carbs for a living.
How did you wrangle THAT?

Well, I have a bunch of things to report. I got the Alternator Bracket for Lorrie back from the welding shop. THAT bracket is one of two weak parts on the 225 Slant-Six (the other being the Exhaust Manifold). Some years ago, one of the ears started to crack off of the Alternator Bracket, and so I had it welded so that it became the strongest part of the bracket. Well, I pulled it off the engine recently, and found a hair line crack. SO I had another piece welded on the back of it. It should NOW be strong enough to NOT be a problem.

I have two alternators for Lorrie, and had them both checked at the AutoZone in Livingston. They both passed the test.

Also, I went to the Post Office, and lo, and behold, my Economic Stimulus Check was in. I hate to take free money from the government, but it's my patriotic duty to do so. Murff knows that I'd NEVER want to be unpatriotic.

Anyway, as you have noticed, there have been unexplained gaps in my posting recently, and I can finally tell you why. I've been compiling a COMPLETE list of inter-changable parts for ALL of Ford's various engine types.

How, you may ask, have I done this?

Well, it started by filing a tax return, then waiting for the money to come in, then going to AutoZone and buying a book called: "HIGH PERFORMANCE FORD ENGINE PARTS INTERCHANGE"

Fabulous book. ALMOST everything you ever wanted to know about Ford engine parts. Not quite TOTALLY detailed (like it didn't mention that the '64 Police Interceptor engine had Gold Thunderbird Valve Covers), but it has some info that I'll bet if I went through and picked out the more obscure ones, that NO ONE would know the answer to.

Anyway, tomorrow I'm going to be doing some dressing of the welds on Lorrie's Alternator Bracket, then priming, and painting it.

Then will come the rebuild of Lorrie's Holley 1920 carburetor. First I'm going to take a whole series of JPGs of the front, sides, back, top, bottom, and 2/3 views, so that I'll make sure it goes back together right. Then it comes apart, and gets soaked in Berryman's.

I'm getting awfully close to starting reassembly of Lorrie. Once she is up and running, THEN, all that's left is to rebuild the brakes (Master Cylinder, Wheel Cylinders, and new brake hoses), and Lorrie will be fully AWAKE, and ready to be detailed. I should have her done by the end of Summer, and THEN comes the work on the Ms.Pi using the Engine Bay Bridge.

Gary, I couldn't be having more fun. No, HONEST.

BTW, if you enjoyed the Paver Garden, Deck, and Kitty Korral JPGs, you might like to look at the other projects that I've done here. Then click on each of the titles, and that'll give you the webpages.

Hope this finds YOU doing well, my friend.
