dfree: I just look at differently than you do. I'm going to speak in the past tense as I haven't worked since 1-12-07 and would not be able to afford any cars such as these in retirement. Back in 1967 I made $5200.00 a year and I bought a new Pontiac GTO that year with no problems making the payments.
When I left my company I was making $62,000.00 a year and had no problem maintaining the payments on two $32,000.00 cars. For me the same reasoning goes for gasoline. At $5200.00 a year I paid 25.9 cents per gallon. At $62,000.00 per year I pay $4.00 a gallon. It all seems relative to me.
