Re: Ford Brings Back The CobraJet

I have to agree the idea of an inexpensive stripped down street legal Cobrajet would be the best. Roll up windows, manual steering and (dare I say it)manual brakes, along with a naturally aspirated 5.4L (3 valve or 4 valve) of around 400 hp for 30-35K would actually have me interested in a new Mustang.

I can't stand all the heavy doodads new cars have. Absolutely makes me sick. I think somebody mentioned the new Challenger briefly moves the window down as you close the door and then puts it back up after it's closed so you don't get the little pressure pulse on your ears. Have we become such pansies that we can't close a farkin' door without whimpering. Maybe we should just stay inside and play racing video games instead of actually driving a real-life car.

The new Challenger really is beautiful, but also grotesquely big and heavy.
I think a new Mustang GT is in the 3500 lb range. Stripped down to say 3200 lbs and with 400 net hp instead of 300, it would be a blast.

Not sure where I'm going with this. Just rambling I guess. Sorry.
