The first-hand experience I have with tunnel rams is from a few years back, so it makes sense that with the progression of stroker engines, heads, and cam profiles that tunnel rams could be more streetable than they used to be. I bought the RPM intake for my build originally because I had never even considered a single plane intake for a street car in the past. Of course as I discovered, the Victor Jr. works great on these strokers without giving up very much on the bottom end. As Frdnut said, these things make so much torque that it can be beneficial to move the power band up.
However I can't imagine that if I took my Victor Jr. off of my engine and installed a tall tunnel ram with a couple of carbs, that it would have the same responsiveness and performance at lower rpm's on the street.
