Cool Newbie here with a 68' GT

Hey guys-

I just picked up my first muscle car. I have been wanting a Torino GT for a long, long time. I went and bought a 1968 Ford Torino GT yesterday. $500 roller. Shes a bit rough, but fairly straight. Needs a lot of work, but a very solid Texas car.(built in Memphis, spent its life in North Texas) I plan to take my time and do it right. No rush here. Mostly surface rust you see. Only two small holes in the trunk, and one in the lower rear quarter panel. The floor pans, doors, frame and rockers are all solid and no holes. All the glass/trim is good, even has new rear glass. It still has the 9" rear, and front disc brakes. The interior is missing the console, and the panel covering the shifter hole though.
Cant wait to get it home and start cleaning it up.........All the bucket seats, emblems and trim are there for the most part. Originally it had a 302 automatic. I am thinking a 4 speed 390 may be in order......much to do before even thinking about motors.......
