After measuring again it looks like a 315 width tire would fit - just - with the right offset rim. This is without having to cut and notch the frame rail. I am considering going back to a 15" stock steel rim 10.5" wide and a more traditional looking tire profile (taller). That will be after I do the M2 front conversion though.
