Re: 3 days o'racin'

Using NHRA's correction factor for s/st @ 5800', 12.029 translates into an 11.31 at sea level, assuming the car dead hooks. MPH would be around 116. Trying to calculate off DA gives a range of potential ET's, quick of 10.73, slow of 11.02. My buddies weather station says 10.87 correcting from DA but I think that is a suspect number. My guess is that anything under an 11.50 and I will have serious traction issues that would limit 60'. Might find out at Topeka this fall.

DF, my car is a light silver/blue '64 4 door. There were 4 '64 Fairlanes up there, mine, a white and red one, a white T-Bolt clone, and a full chassis dark blue and black one. The white/red one was running bottom 12's on a big block, which is odd 'cause he usually runs mid 11's. I didn't see the clone run. The chassis car went a 10.16 on it's 7th pass ever. I built the diff in that car, the owner built the 557" engine. With some tweaking it should run 9.90's.

I only had 9 client cars up there this year, not a huge turnout for the race. The chassis car was the quickest, the black '55 Crown Vic that runs 17.30's was the slowest. The others run between 11.60 and 15.40.
