I had this converter custom built by a shop in Denver. There was nothing wrong w/ the TCI, but wanted to try something new and stay w/ a local builder.
TCI flashed about 3100. New converter flashes about 4200. Footbrake, no electronics or trans brake. RPM at the line is 1800.
Put the TCI that was in my car in a buddies Mustang. 347 C-4 combo I built a few years ago. He pulled a Boss Hog out (I will not recommend their converters, not real impressive) and his 60's went from 1.92 best to 1.79 best. Car ran 12.74 on the TCI, so it's definately a good converter.
The TCI is a more street friendly converter. RPM has to be a little higher now to move the car. PM if you want the name of the converter shop.
