Also, will my stock, converter hold the torque that I will press with this new shifter or should I beef up the converter too? Thanks
!! Also does anyone have a freeware version of vSEo 3.2.0 that I could use to get a pic of my car online for you guys?

As another poster so tactfully put it, a shifter will not increase torq or strain or wear on your stock converter. But if you want to manually shift your 5R55S transmission without worrying about a mis-shift either up or down then you would be well served by a Ratchet Shifter for your car.

As of right now TCI has the only production ratchet shifter available for your car. B&M has said they are bringing one out soon but I haven't seen a production model as of yet.

I installed a TCI Stretfighter ratchet shifter in my car a couple of months ago and it works as advertised and is a high quality unit. It is a pretty easy install and only takes an hour or so to do.
