Sorry, let me clarify.I am loosening up the adjuster nut till I get free play at the push rod.Then while spinning the pushrod, I turn the nut down just 'till I start to feel friction against the rocker, then I turn the adjuster nut 3/4 of a turn more.
I thought I Might be on the wrong stroke, so I went through the cycle and after I watch the intake valve start to close, I bring the piston back to TDC and with the valves both closed and the Dist. rotor at the #1 plug wire.I should be o.k.
To make sure. I turned the engine over to the next revolution and the exhaust valve started to open.
still don't know what i'm doing wrong.
