mild 460 build up.

The combination you are describing is one that I almost duplicated a few years ago in a 83 f100. Very toruqey motor, except mine was only 8.5 compression. Since, I've updated to roller rockers, D0VE heads w/2.24 intake and 1.75 exhaust valves, 10:1 compression, and a 234/244 @.050 cam. Lift is around .580". It pulls well from 2500-5500, really comes on at about 3000, and levels off at around 5200. Best 1/8 time in a 4000 lb truck is 8.20/95mph. Oh, and I'm using 2.75 rear gears and a 2500 stall converter in a c6. Also, it idles a bit rough, enough to get your attention, and cruises all day @ 2400 rpm on the freeway. Mileage sucks, though, but then again it's a 460.
