Tell me more about the Mustang shorty headers you are using. The ones I tried when using the old 5.0 would not clear the steerring shaft. I guess wth the taller 351 block, the Stang headers are able to clear. What brand, and are they 1 5/8 or 1 3/4. Do you have a model number? I want long tubes when done, but a set of good shorties wlll do for this year. I have my complete exhaust done, from just where the converters were, to the rear. I would just need a set of short down tubes made up then.
