Hate to be the spoiler here but a TR will work on anything if you take the time to tune it. It will kill some bottom end but will increase the top. I'm getting ready to put a pair of 450 holley's on a stock '78 460 in a '65 F-100. I've done this to several engines with good success. Really depends on if you want to cut a hood or not.
