i have a 63 that originally had a vinyl top. i removed the top, but was wondering about the chrome trim that covers the edge of the vinyl back by the rear window. did cars without vinyl tops have this chrome on the car or was it omitted. i'm currently roughing in the body work and was trying to find out if i need to weld the chrome clip holes shut or if i should reinstall the chrome on the car without the vinyl top.
