Boss 351 questions

Does anybody know the cc's of the head on a stock 351 Boss is? And second what is the dome height in cc's for the TRW piston # L2348-F is?

the cc of the Boss head is 66.1, not sure on the pistons.

Yeap ... Casting # D1ZE-B ... 66.1 cc chambers.

The "factory" pistons are "domed" ... I do not have a reference for the cc value of the dome (on the factory piston).

However, you could calculate "backwards" from 11.4 "compression ratio" using the other known info and figure it out I reckon [img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif[/img]

As far as the TRW pistong you refer to ... I don't know that either [img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_frown.gif[/img] but I bet TRW does [img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif[/img]

Dome volume is about 12cc.

Thanks guys for the info. Know wonder why I have to keep the timing back I have 12.56:1 compression. I do have a cam with a lot of over lap which helps bleed off some compression but, not enough. I think I will lower the compression and change cams to make it more streetable.
