Vibration

Ok here is one for ya. Have a 85 mustang with a 8.8. Just removed an auburn pro from it and installed a factory clutch pac (equaloc) from the junk yard. Drove it and had vibration in the gear shift. Removed equa loc installed new bearings and races, still have same prob. called Currie they said that would not cause a vibration just a humm (there is no humm with my vibration). checked the wheels apears that the ballance weights are still there. any help would be greatly appriciated. Chris

When you pulled your driveshaft did you mark it so you put it back in the same orintation? If not I would try rotating the driveshaft.

If you removed the posi unit,or anything in the rearend, the driveshaft was removed!!! TRY your harmonic balancer for a vibration in the shifter!!!!!!!!

the rear end is a 8.8 the posi unit (clutch pac) is acessed through the diff cover, the pinion does not have to be removed to get the posi unit out.
