gearing vrs revability?

i'm getting my c4 in my maverick rebuilt and also regearing from the stock 2.79's to some 3.55's (8inch rearend, not to many options)

anyway i had a dream the other day that when i got the 3.55's the engine would rev way higher than stock... like shifting at 6500rpms. right now it shifts around 3800-4200 rpms. thats if i'm really romping on it.
maybe it'll happen?

From my understanding the tranny decides to shift from reading the engine vacuum and rpm the converter is turning at. I don't think gearing will change your shift points, but it should make you get to your shift points faster. Any one else have a differnt theory?

i've got the same setup..mod C4 and 3;55s. I'm upshifting a little higher than you are, but not much more. Would like to move the shift points up a bit too.
