Transmission Cooler

What is the best way to plumb a C4 trans. cooler? Radiator 1st or last. Also Which lines on the Trans. are the fluid pressure and return lines.
Thanks

Personally I don't even 'go thru' the radiator. I'd bypass it completely, and just loop the tranny lines to the cooler and back.
My personal preference. All the radiator does is heat it up. Coolers are for cooling, right?

But the radiator will bring it up to operating temp sooner.

It also puts heat into the radiator.

Granted, I've only been a tech for 30+ years, but I"ve never, as in NEVER had an overheated concern with any of my transmissions, in ANY vehicle.
Don't wanna get into a peepee match with anyone, again, just stating my .002

My radiator doesnt even have a tranny cooler in it. I just have seperate B&M cooler. It does have a bypass valve in it that will let the fluid flow through the cooler when it gets warm enough.

The return line is the farthest back on the trans.

Trans oil is hotter than coolant in the radiator so it would benefit going through the radiator first, then through trans cooler. Fit trans cooler to the front of the car. ( to the outside)
