8.8" upgrades.

Hi there.
I'm going to use a 8.8" axle behind a 5.4litre DOHC engine with a T45 transmission.

It's going to be used in a semi-trailing rear. It is a locking diff with a 3.08 ratio in it.

I'm planning a 3.55 (maybe 3.73) ratio.

Is there anything else I should do to improve its strength while I'm working on it?

I've had great success with this combo. Moser 31 spline axles, c-clip eliminators, and an Auburn Pro diff. I prefer the Ford gearsets, they seem to make the least noise. I recently installed 4.30's and a spool. Don't forget to use the Ford friction fluid.

Thanx guys.
Now I know where to start.
Why commit expensive mistakes, when someone know how to do it right.... And are willing to share the experience.
