guys running skinnies on front what size?

I was thinking of getting 15x3.5 or 15x4 which is the best idea for a street strip car . Cause the tire spec say from 4.0 to 5.0 size rim only. What do ya think. I am thinking of going with the 15x4 for me since its street driven.

Well it's only a 1/2 inch difference but I would still go with the wider 4 inch ones.

I run the 4 inch wide Weld Rodlites with Sportsman fronts with no problems on the street.

I've got 3.5" skinnies on the front of the mustang, and I'd go bigger next time. The biggest street tire that will 'properly' fit is a VW bug radial. (165R/15) I have to keep 50-55psi of air in the tires so they don't look like they are low on air... but even so, (and I'm on my 2nd set) there have been no problems. Both sets have been firestones too! The first set didn't last long (I was running a spool in the rear)

If I had it to do over again, I'd use 4+ inch wheels, and a 185/75/15 radial for more load capacity.

Good Luck!

I've run 3.5's on my last 3 cars. 2 previous were street/strip, turned all strip.
Granted, I never did any 'hard cornering', and took it real easy going over speed bumps, etc, etc, but I never had any problems with the 3.5's........(lucky I guess)........
