Fox body vs older coupe ?????

What are the weight differences between a foxbody stang and an older coupe say a 66 ? Which of the two will be easier and less hassle too mod the suspension ? I will be dropping a 393 in one .........Too any owners of some older coupes what kind of set up do u have suspension wise , and what kind of 60's are u getting at the track ???? well thanks for everyones input

My Fox Futura weighs 3000 lbs without driver.351 W block, alum heads, intake, not lightened except Weld wheels.T 5 alum trans, alum driveshaft.HD 9" rear, HD swaybars.
A 1990 5.0 Ho Mustang is abt 3200 lbs stock.A lightened race 5.0 with cage is 2750 lbs.
A fox Mustang 1979-1995 is lighter than the small Mustang II.!

waaaay easyer to put a 351W in a fox chassis stang then a 65/66 stang. Especially the 79-85 carb stangs. Tons more aftermarket parts available for the fox chassis too.

Up! the late model fox body is great , suspenion wise it basically a four link in the rear , and tons of aftermarket part to do any thing you could amagine any combo , that is what i am switching to from a '65 coupe , not cause of the mentioned reason just because their is few heads up classes that the NMRA and fun ford allow. that is why dont like bracket racing to much, its just not me. But is still cool .
