looking for the best 302 shortblock probably from jms racing, they have been doing it forever and have the best prices...
what should i require for the most hp and torque...i know i will need strong bolts cause i plan on abusing it at the same time loving it! im thinkin trw flat tops, solid flats, rods i dont know what i need, but i think arp bolts are the best, forged crank, 10:1 comp with the right heads i will do myself, jsut wondering if i can do this with a grand, they quoted me over the phone a grand for that...we will see what hapens. any info would help

$1000 question

ok i will try a lot has to do with how much u plan to abuse engine 1st thing price not bad if u plan to abuse it a lot here is some things i will do first use arp bolts in rods, heads, and main caps. next you need to use forged pistons if you are even thinking of using nitrous think twice before using it with anything but forged. also you might want to look into a main girdle as this ties everthing together and should make it very strong. if you are planning to run engine over 6k rpms look into double valve springs, and u might want to look at using another piston the trws are heavy pistons ok thats my 2 cents

LC= Lobe Center, the more lobe center the wider the power band. With less lobe center
you get more peak power with narrower powerband. Idle will be rougher with a narrow lobe center cam also.
