Holley Street Dominator Intake?

Hi I just bought a 351W intake on Ebay for $50. Its the old style low rise single plane intake with a spread bore carb base. I cant find much info on these like carb base height or power range I was wondering if anyone knows anything about these intakes?

Did some more reseaching, The Weiand X-elerator intake looks almost identical in runner design when comparing it eo the 302 and 351c versions....they dont sell a windsor verison. wouldnt be surprising because Holley owns Weiand. They post a 1500-6500 rpm range. Does this sound about right?

Form what i have seen on the net.the holley street dominator intake is real close to the streetmaster intake by ebrock, and it only good for 4500rpm,but hears what ebrock has to say about how to get more out of it.

Holley Street Dominator Intake?

A friend of mine had a Holley Street Dominator on a 351W in a 74 F100. The engine didn't pull all that well until about 2700 RPM, but then it cam on real hard and pulled to about 6200. I had one on a 302 and it was kind of the same. At 2800 RPM it was like flipping on a switch and it had a really good midrange pull up to about 6000 RPM. It wouldn't bother me to use one again if I had a 2800+ RPM stall converter and wasn't planning on making power up past 6500 RPM as they seem to work good in their powerband even though their powerband tends to be a bit narrow.

It's a tiny runner single plane intake.

It has all the bad points of a single plane (poor low speed performance) without the benifits (top end is choked off by the tiny runners).

If you want a good dual purpose intake with a wide powerband, invest in a more modern design (large runner dual plane) such as the Weiand Stealth, Edelbrock Air Gap or RPM.

There's a reason those go for $50 on ebay...

Good Luck!
