347 stroker kit??

I used a early model 302 block for my 347 street/strip motor. It was a 68 302 out of a junk yard. The early model blocks and the mexican blocks seem to be stronger than the later blocks. I used SRP flat top pistons, Eagle H beam rods and a Scat cast crank, Edlebrock Victor Jr. heads with a stage 1 port. Edlebrock Victor Jr. intake and 650 dbl pumper carb. According to this sites HP calculator the motor makes 510 Flywheel horse power. car runs 10.50's on motor in a 2680 pound car. Tony

347 stroker kit??

I used a 289 block, eagle 4340 crank and H beams w/ srp flat tops. Cam motion custom flat tappet, ported canfields Jr/750. Has run a best of 10.39/130mph NA(premo chevron 92 octane!) at 1300' elevation. Don't worry about the stupid wrist pin, probe makes one but IMHO there stuff is junk.

here is my car: www.home.earthlink.net/~tbeaudoin
