89 Bronco 5.0

My friend wants to know if you can change the passenger side valve cover w/o pulling the upper intake. This is on a 5.0 on a 89 bronco. Thanks for you help or tips you have.

You can do it but it's not worth it.
It really isnt that big a job to remove the upper plenum.
If you get a proper torx bit for the center bolt on the passenger side of the upper plenum that makes it a heck of a lot easier.
If you remove the plenum you can clean the valve cover surface on the heads properly and chances are pretty good the plenum gasket is shot to so you can replace it then too.
