Depends on what engine and your driving habits.

David,
That equates to 13.23 miles per US gallons, which isn't too far out of line for your motor. Again, it depends on the type of driving conditions the 350 mile were run.

After changing my cam to the 282S, I drove the car to Charlotte and back 1000 miles and averaged 16-17 mpg on the highway, with a 5 speed and 3.89 rear gears. While at Charlotte on the track it dropped close to single digits, but that was with wide open throttle.

Shouldnt the fuel mileage comeup as the motor is broken in more, with everything new and tight it is probably working a little harder now that it will be at 1500 miles or so. Obviously how you drive is connected to fuel milage also, and rear end gearing.

David,
Haven't been to the dyno or the track yet. I do feel that the power band moved up in the RPM range. On the Charlotte track it felt stronger, I had the RPM limiter set for 6500, it pulled good in fourth gear until it hit the limiter. Going to the track next weekend, then I'll be able to compare time slips.
