More '61-'63 T-Bird suspension questions

OK, I've been looking at various suspension upgrades for my '61 T-Bird. Several people recommended PST's polygraphite suspension components, but it doesn't look like they offer any kits for my Bird. I've been comparing Fairlane/T-Bird part numbers and it looks like all the T-Bird parts are unique. I find it hard to believe that Ford wouldn't just carry over some of these parts from the big-car lines, and would go ahead and make completely different suspension parts, including control arms, for one three-year model run. Does anyone know if Bulletbird suspension parts will cross to any other Ford, so that I can find some high-quality suspension parts, or at least not pay through the nose for the T-Bird specific parts?
Example: PST's Super Polygraphite kit that includes ALL front suspension AND steering components for a Fairlane is $549 for what I hear is a pretty significant gain in handling and ride comfort. This covers everything you could replace in the front of your car. From one of the online vendors (who all seem pretty close in price) ball joints are almost $100 each, and you need 4. By the time you get done buying the ball joints alone you almost could have the PST kit, and you still only have the stock bias-ply-tuned suspension! WTF?
So, bottom line, do Bulletbird suspension parts cross to any other Ford, or am I pretty much screwed? Any other sources for hi-po T-Bird suspension parts?
Thanks,
Darel

Yah, the sign-up over there is tricky, but is free. As I recall, I had to sign-up for "Memebers Group" twice...once for the "original forum" then again for the current "Forum". Both require a valid email, upon which a "validated membership account" link is sent to your email box. You click on the link and it acknowledges your true membership at the forum.
The "current Forum" has one more hoop to jump through than the "original".
The "group owner" (administrator) must approve your membership...after "reading" a brief description about you. I just rapped about my ford rigs past and present, and how i learned to drive at the tender age of nine in a '73 2000cc ford pinto.
phew
