What is the stock specs for a 289 camshaft?

I have allways wondered this. I was building a new shortblock, and wanted to get a .488 lift cam that i had in my old engine. But summit was out of them, so i opted for the .460intake, and the .476ex. how much of a difference will this make in power?

And does anyone know the specs for like a 66 289ci mustang engine, and like a 1969 302ci mustang engine. Same size?

For all intents and purposes, the cam you bought from Summit has about the same performance characteristics as the stock 289/302 cams for 66 and 69 respectively.

In other words it is a stock cam and will limit performance accordingly. You would never be able to tell the difference between what you bought and what you wanted to buy.

This is a page from Bob Mannel's excellent book on SBF. Scanned with his permission.

The C3AZ-6250-V was used in the 64-69 289/302. The C9OZ was also a 69 302 cam.
