Project 11.99

Man, I am grinning ear to ear about the latest results of project 11.99!! Time to bite the bullet and get a 9 inch rear in that baby!! Your specs on the 331 are very close to mine except I went with the solid roller (Lunati 608 lift). Keep us informed!

I have a similar vibration at 70 MPH. The driveshaft hasn't been checked. Twisted axles? Hard launches or time catching up to a 35-year old car?

Very impressive times for the first time out with the new motor. It appears the car has no roll bar, correct me if I'm wrong. Down here in So Cal the local tracks(and NHRA) require a roll bar at 11.99.

Yeah baby!! I was exited to read about such good results from the small hydraulic roller cam that was selected for the FM 331. What hydraulic rollers were used?? Now that I know what my similar 331 is capable of, I'm even more exited about getting it to the track one day.

Keep us posted!

Chuckle,

Yeah, it will need a rollbar, now. And to truly drive it in anger I doubt even hardened 28 spline axles are enough. Don't forget the stock T5 that is still in it as well. If he could drop the hammer on the launch and then powershift, the car should go lo 11's. I am impressed w/ the trannys durability so far.
