Spool questions also

i know that spools lock the rear up, but what is the difference between a mini and full? apart from what they look like.

a full spool removes the 'diff' part of the differential --yes?
does the mini just replace the spider gears but still have some differential properties?

how much power can a mini handle before popping the lolly -- before you NEED to have a full spool?
so many questions, so much time.... so little money!

a mini spool replaces the spidergears, both the mini and the full spool acts the same, no diff effect left at all...

donno about the powerhandlig though ..

a spool is fun on the street, until you need to park .. but it hurts the car ..
been running a spool this summer , won't do it again ..

A minispool locks the differential at it's weakest point, the spider gears. They are used primarily in dirt track cars. They actually promote the tail out attitude that helps these cars get around the corners plus since the cars are basically spinning the tires all the way through the corners, they don't tend to break the axles. Bottom line: If yer runnin' on pavement, ya gonna break sumthin...
