I'd go "R's". Probably biased cause I brought some afew weeks ago!! The problem is the twisted wedge design if your putting them on a motor with abit of valve lift but depends on your present piston design.

IMHO, I'd stay with the Jr.'s. The "R"'s have more potential, but like was listed before, you're limited in piston choices. The Jr's will support all pistons that are designed for factory valve spacing/positions. I've also got a set of Jr's...good heads for the money. If I did it all over again and had some extra cash, I'd go with AFR 225's, or even some C3's.

Watch out for ARF's sneeky flow #'s they boast about, as someone stated the other day their #'s are on a 4.125 bore with the head offset. How the hell runs their heads offset anyway?????? And most people don't have no 4.125 bore eather!

Buy you some "R" heads, I did. With the twisted design you don't have to sneek around and offset your heads with some crazy bore to get them to flow real #.

Yes -- remember flow numbers are marketing...

Talk to http://www.fordpowertrain.com for the headers for these heads in early cars. So far the only person I know that makes them.

Buy the "R"'s.........Last night I went 123+mph in my 408 on the its maiden pass.
My engine is only a 10.5 to 1 engine too!
