351w cam in a 289

Will a 351w cam work in a 289. I think it will just change the firing order right or am i wrong and are there any draw backs

351w cam in a 289

No problem,

Just change the firing order from the 289's 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8

to the 351W's 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8

All 5.0 HO's use the 351W firing order, as does the cam in my mustang.
