box type upper intake

Hello, Can someone please tell me if I would benefit from installing a polymer box upper intake onto a 5.0??? Would I get more power?? thanks

box type upper intake

By replacing the upper intake with a 'box', you shorten the intake runners. By shortening the runners, you move power up to a higher rpm range. Unless it's a race or high-rpm street engine, you would most likely be best off with a standard upper.
I think one of the recent FM articles talks about runner length on 5.0L engines, check it out.
