what can i measure and what would that be to know i can have a good rebuild(bore diameter)

If ther is already an overbore on the block, the overbore is usually stamped into the heads of the pistons, ie 0.030, .03, .030, etc. (for a 0.030) overbore.

Also, remove and check the main and rod bearings. If the crank has never been turned, the bearings should read "STD" on the back side. If they read ".010", the crank has already been turned, but you might be able to turn it again if the journals are in good shape (round and smooth).
