I second that, although I run a Demon, I would reccommend a Holley to anyone getting into the spirit of hottroding a Ford, they were made with Holleys in there blood.

We wouldnt want to mix blood types now would we.

Holley's are especially good if you need practice changing power valves and tuning on a seemingly constant basis!

I don't know why alot of people say bad things about holley's power valves/tuning problems. I put a 750 dp on my amx in 1998 and it still runs 8.1's in th 1/8 mile today. It has no choke and it idles fine after about 8 seconds. I did install blowout protection in 2000 just to have something to do. If your car is backfiring its not setup right/or your flooding it!!!!

Put a 650 vacuum on my 92 ranger 351w with baby cam .472 lift, removed the rear metering plate/drilled holes bigger added a softer vacuum spring...8.8's 1/8 mile...

Go holley

Holley gets my vote too. what I like about them is the variety tuning options I.E different sized squirters, pump cams, secondary springs etc. Ther'e also very easy to rebuild.

Some folks do give Holley a bad rap for blowing out power valves, but they are so easy to change. A Holley also has an incredible ability to be tuned to your specific application, once you are there you will know. Doing jets, secondary springs, acc. pump cams, power valves may seem intimidating at first but are fairly straight forward, simple tools and a little practice and you will be changing those things at the track inbetween rounds.

Holley all the way. The only edelbrock carb I have is being used as a wheel chock.
