Would F303 Cam & 1.7 roller rockers be good for 347 Engine - 70/30 street/strip car?

I need to select a Hydraulic roller CAM and Roller rockers for my 347 setup. Before I call one of the cam companies. Someone mentioned that the Ford F303 or FCAM with 1.7 ratio rockers would work well as a 70% street/30% strip weekend only car. I can get the cam for $100, and rockers for around the same. The heads I have right now are the Aluminum GT40 Y heads configured for bolt down rockers. Will these work okay?

Looking at your combo, i think it would be fine... very torquey. However i'd prefer a little more duration, 228-232 level, with that sort of displacement.

I think it would work good. The duration is middle of the road, with the 1.7 ratio rockers it will make the lift around .532 total, just something to keep in mind.

I've never heard of anyone having any luck with that cam. It has too wide of a lobe seperation for hotrod carbed use, and has too much duration for most long runner EFI setups.

I'd choose something else, if that's still an option.

Good Luck!

Chraig,
Actually, I was wondering how streetable the Crane cam in project 11.XX is turned out? I don't drive the car daily but don't want it too be too much of a beast on the street either. I have manual disk brakes so vacuum is not a major concern, just want it to run well on the street without a lot of tinkering and perform well on strip passes once in a while (since I only live about 10 miles from the dragstrip).

Mike I noticed the 114 lobe separation on the F-cam as well. I'm not locked into any cam yet. Maybe I'll call crane cams.

Thanks again for the input guys.
