GT350 stripes on my Ranger: yay or nay?

Here's a HIGHLY photoshopped pic of my Ranger. Right now it's pretty much all stock except for the engine and tranny, but my long term goal is to be a sports/muscle truck, road racing type theme. So, since I've got a carb'd high-revvin 289 in a road-race worthy (somewhat, lol) Ford, why not do a '6x Mustang GT350 paint scheme. Normally I'm strongly against rebadging stuff unless it REALLY deserves it, so I'm hesitant to put the "GT350" stripe on... but no matter what I think I want to stick with the stripes over the top. What do you guys think?

The stripes are ok, make sure you taper them so the looks right. I would leave of the GT-350 though...

By the way, here's a pic of what my Ranger ACTUALLY looks like right now. The only changes I've made since I took this pic are the engine and tranny (which lowered the front about 1/2", I tinted the rear window, and I primered the bumper grey, hehe. It's amazing what roughly 6 cumulative hours of photoshopping can do to a picture, lol!

/edit forgot the pic lol!

Taper them? How do you mean? In the mustang pics I've seen, the stripes over the top and down the side straight...

First off, your VERY good with photoshop, that picture looks great. As to the scheme, I like it, and I mean I like it a LOT. Very tasteful, very much ford without turning into a "mini" truck like so many others I've seen. HEll Id leave the GT350 there too, I mean ya already have the drivetrain of one, why not the paint scheme as well?

I kinda like the sleeper look it has now add some rust, blow some doors and leave 'em slack jawed!
Worked for my old '77 rustang II.

I dig the truck, and think you should call it whatever you want. It's not like you are trying to claim it was a limited production Ford in an attempt to take advantage of a want-to-be collector. You could play with the name and make it a GT 150, GTF-100, or the like.

Here is the data on the tapered stripes. Tapering may not be necessary on the boxy Ranger, as I think this was to compensate for an optical illusion caused by the round shape of the fastback Mustang.

truly impressive. You spent 6 hours on photoshop...you need to put that idea and image to metal.
My hat's off to ya.

I like the look, I myself have a 92 ranger with a 351w/c6 ext cab. I say go for it if your motor's hp can back it up, but I'm not so sure about the gray?????

I'd lose the Grey too ..just a matter of color.. I'm painting my 80's 351C mustang project this color (the blue guitar in the pic)
