Ignition Questions

My engine is currently set up using a distributor from an '85 5.0l Mustang. Up until my MSD Digital 6 blew, this was fine because I never had to buy the ignition control module as the MSD performed the job.

Now that the MSD is non-functional I have had to bring back into service my Pertronix conversion kit and the old (less reliable) distributor for the car.

My question is what the differences are in the control modules for that year 5.0. The auto parts store has two listings for either carbureted or fuel injected.

Any suggestions would be great.
