Anyone put a 460 in a 76 pinto?

It looks prety easy to pull off, and i think I could use the 8" rear out of a wagon. Also, is there any biger front brake setup that will fit on these cars, or rear discs for an 8"? I figure with a worked over 466 that will spin 7K an a toploader i could make a 9-10 sec daily driver if I could get traction. I wana do this or do up a 377C stroker.

Wilwood does make a disc brake kit for the Pinto spindles. But......

The 8" probably wouldn't hold up to a toploader providied you could get the clutch linkage working.

Just my thoughts, but a nice C4 and a 8.8" from like a Explorer might fit and they do have disc brakes.

The next problem would be finding headers or making some yourself. They do make headers for 351 Windsors and Clevelands in the Pinto/Bobcat bodies.

It's a pain to do it but it's been done. Gotta do some massaging & it'll be front heavy. Gotta make a lot of parts too.
