'75 Grenada 302 C4 no forward - only reverse

Any ideas what could be wrong for the car to only lockup in reverse... It hardly makes any sound when trying to get it to go forward. I'm wondering what clutch or band could be giving me problems. Before I pop out the tranny and dig into it. This will be my first Ford auto rebuild, I've done plenty of A413's (Chrys K car) rebuilds.

Ahh, the dreaded C-4 death signs....

You've cooked the clutches, and probably the intermediate band as well. C-4's are a piece of cake to rebuild, just make sure to install a new converter and new bushings throughout. I get my parts at:

Since you still have reverse the rear band and direct clutch are ok.No forward gears is prob a fault with the forward clutch pack..
