Shifter linkage ... Column shifter to C6 ... 55 F100 Project

It is appearing that I might have a little issue with my "Factory Brake Pedal" being in the way of the shifter rod.

Is there a cable linkage that I might make work?

I realize I will likely be doing some fabrication work on either the shifter or the tranny (or both) in order to do this, but it seems to me that a cable might be the easiest way around and past that factory brake pedal.

Lokar has a cable kit out now. I can't remember if it is only for GM columns or not, but either way I'd check them out - it may give you some ideas if nothing else.
