choking my stage 2 engine with Hooker 6208 headers?

this former post listed my stage 2 combo for "PS" that I am in the process of building:

http://www.fordmuscle.com/phpBB/view...00&forum=1

My granada will be using Hooker 6208 headers which is bolted up to my 3 in. mandrel bent dual exhaust system with dynomax mufflers (also 3" in and out with dumps in frt. of the rear axle)

Will the fact that my headers have 1 3/4" primaries cause my 408W to be choked on the exhaust side? I've noticed some of the big windsor strokers people are running are using 1 7/8" LT's. Would it make that much of a difference?

There's no way I would be able to use them even if I could, I will have to stay with my 6208's. Would like some opinions on this.

Those 6208's should suit your combo just fine. I doubt you would even be able to tell any differance between 1 3/4 or 1 7/8 primaries.
I sure hope those Hooker 6208's fit your Granada better than the set I just put on my Falcon. Go to the Falcon pages for more info if you're interested.

I checked your thread on the falcon site, man that's a lotta work to be doing to get those headers to fit a falcon. They actually fit my granada engine bay pretty good, I only need to dent the firewall a bit on the pass. side and a little more on the driver's side for the headers to fit no problem. If you remember I've had them in the car since April 2002 when I got stage 1 rolling with the engine in and getting the headers fitted with my exhaust system, this way when I get the 408W in everything will already be lined up and will bolt in no problem. I'm running 6208s on a stroker W with TFS heads. Them babies are up for sale in a couple of months. Hard to fit in a '67-'70 chassis and the heads really don't flow enough exhaust along with poor fitment of the headers. Went to fordpowertrain for the solution.
