What's a 460 (complete engine) worth......

Came out of a 78 Lincoln. Obviously it will need to be rebuilt but it is complete and running. Crank, heads, block, carb. Found one today a guy wants $250.00 for it. How does this sound?[img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_confused.gif[/img]

Oops! I've been paying $100 a pop for short blocks. If it has everything I'd think $200-250 isn't out of line...

$200 probably ain't too bad. I got lucky and scored an entire, rough-running 73 Lincoln w/460 for $200.

just bought an 86 E350 with 88k miles and 460/C6 6 new tires new radiator alternator and exhaust for 100.00 got the one before it for free. traded a blown up mazda 626 to a junk yard for a 70 460 with 54k miles on it got a 429 running car (70 merc) for a couple of wrecks from a junk yard so I would say they are pretty cheap got my eye on another 70 460 too

I paid $400.00 for a good running 1978 Grand Marquis with a 460 w/C6 trans and a 9" rearend.

That gave me the basis for my drivetrain in my 1969 Falcon project.
