NOO RUST!!!!!!!!

i had recently ripped the carpet out my 65 stang, and what did i find ????? RUST! not very much, but enough to be a pain in the ass....rusted through the floorboards in the top right floorpan.....is it easiest to replace the pan, or just cut out the area thats rusted and weld in a new piece ???? thanks.- Chad.

It is probably easier to just put a patch on it but if you want to do it right and it wouldn't be very much harder go ahead and replace the floor pan section. You can buy them pretty cheap and it will look a lot better.

Contact POR they have a paint that will nutrilize the rust Then they have a two part clay that you smooth over it and it dries hard eneough to tap and machine. The showed me an example of a patch where the hole was more than 12 inches across and they fixed it with their stuff and they had a person jump on it and it didn;t even flex. This is what I am going to use on my torino. The holes are small so I don't want to cut out the panel just for some holes. Hope this helps.
