My buddy has a inline 6 200 in a 66 mustang, and the trany went out. I have a 84 aod with a 6 bolt bellhousing, will this fit the block?

Those take a five bolt bell housing - c4, dime a dozen... No overdrive though. I don't think there is a five bolt bell that will fit the AOD either.

You might as well just put a v8 in there while you doing the transmission work [img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif[/img]

only the 240, 250, 300 and 1980 and up 200 I6 have the V8 bolt patten

You might could find a late model C4/C5 with the lock-up convertor and install it with his bellhousing and a new convertor. This would help gas mileage some but still wouldn't be overdrive.
