Draining a fuel tank

I need to drain the fuel from a 79 mustang and was wandering if there is anything special I needed to do? Does the whole tank have to be removed?

Well, it depends what you want to do to the tank. If you just want to get some old gas out, you can buy a pump that you can use with a hand drill....and some garden hose. I don't recommend the old fashon way of sucking on a hose & using gravity, but it works and is real cheap.
