i just got off the phone with dss racings tech line. i wanted information on their 357w rotating assembly. they said it comes with production rods that have been magnafluxed and shot peened and fitted with arp bolts. he told me its good for 6500 rpms. he said i could make 450-500 horse with roush 200s and the right cam. what do you guys think. if i could make that power and not have to turn 7500 id feel a little more at ease. let me know what you think. oh and the kit comes with brand new cast crank, those rods, pro series flat tops, sealed power moly rings, f.m rod & main bearings, the pistons are allready pressed to the rods. kit comes balanced, all for $999. what do ya think?

500 hp is a little much, thats 1.4 hp per cube w/o reving to 6500. You will need a pretty stout cam that would probably require reving past 6500rpms
But hey what do I know...DSS wouldn't steer you wrong...
Another option is a stroker 393. They can be had all day for about a grand..SCAT crank, FPP capscrew rods, Probe pistons.

iv thought about a 393 but all the kits that i have looked at were 1500 or so. 1000 for a 393 assembly sounds good but then id be paying to get it balanced.

That's a real good price. You are correct about the revs - one of the reasons why I'd like to build a 393C bottom end with all good parts. It'd make good power to 6000 with my heads and probably last 6-10 years without even a teardown.
