Need quick answer, 3.55 or 3.8 gears
I'm going to West Coast Differentials tomorrow to have an Auburn Pro Limited Slip installed and new gears. Right now I have 3.00:1 gears, and I have the Z-Spec T5 with 2.95 first gear and 0.63 fifth. This car is daily driven street, sometimes going to Sears Point for wednesday night drags. I am also soon going to be upgrading the motor from it's current mild 289 to a pretty built up 302 motor (either 302 or 331).
So, for this situation, would you go with the 3.55 or the 3.8? I'm leaving tomorrow at 8 am for Sacramento, so if any of you could reply before then, I'd really appreciate it.
